Hardox plate is an abrasion resistant plate with good hardness and toughness. Compared to other steel plates, Hardox plate offers improved performance and prolonged service life in the most challenging environments. Hardox plate combines good bendability and weldability with guaranteed impact toughness.
Applications
Uses of Hardox plate include petrochemical applications, dump trucks, gears, pipe systems, rock crushers, excavators and conveyor belts.
Grades
Hardox plates are available in grades from 400 HBW to over 600 HBW (for extreme cases) and thicknesses from 3 mm to 160 mm. All Hardox grades have hardness guarantee across the thickness. Hardox 400 is an abrasion resistant plate with a hardness of 400 HBW. Due to its superior toughness, good bendability and weldability, Hardox 400 can be used in structures with moderate wear. Hardox 400 abrasion resistant plate obtains its mechanical properties by quenching and at times, by means of subsequent tempering.
